Want to pay for your Massage using your HSA or FSA card?

If you plan to use HSA or FSA funds, I recommend checking with your plan administrator (number on the back of your insurance card), to confirm eligibility, as HSA/FSA massage coverage can vary from plan to plan.

Full payment is due at the time of your session, and Superbills/receipts are available upon request for your records or reimbursement needs.

Knowing if you can use your HSA/FSA card for Massage Therapy can be confusing, so here’s some info that may be helpful to ask your insurance..

Can I use my HSA/FSA card for Massage Therapy and submit a receipt to my insurance for reimbursement? 

Am I able to use my hsa/fsa card for manual therapy only, or also massage?

Are LMTs allowed to provide the manual therapy for reimbursement?( In Oregon, LMTs are allowed to perform manual therapy (trigger point therapy etc), but LMT coverage can vary by plan)-

How many Massage visits are covered per year? (cpt code-97124) -

How many Manual Therapy visits are covered per year?(cpt code 97140) -

Is this amount per year shared with other alternative therapies like acupuncture and chiropractor visits?

Are 75-minute and or 90-minute massage appointments allowed for reimbursement or only 60 minute sessions?
